An explosion took place during a Friday prayer in one of the mosques in east Afghanistan, leaving 15 injured, AP reports.
Representative of the government of the Taliban in Nangarhar Qari Haneef said the bomb was apparently placed in the mosque in Traili, which is located in the mountainous Spin Gar region.
ISIS militiamen are shelling the Taliban’s militiamen in Nangarhar almost every day, but the bombardments of mosques in this territory are less common since the Sunni Muslims prevail in this region. The group is known for bombarding mosques belonging to the Shia minority in Afghanistan.
Three months after coming to power, the Taliban are leading a campaign to pressure the rebels and promise to prevent threats from ISIS.
