The bodies for the Armenian servicemen killed and considered missing in the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) war last fall were not searched last week, according to the Facebook page of the Artsakh State Service of Emergency Situations.

And this state agency is currently negotiating with all interested organizations to resume these works, the service added in its statement.

On November 13, the Artsakh State Service of Emergency Situations had announced that the search for the bodies had been suspended since October 18.

After that, the Azerbaijani side has rejected—under various pretexts—all the proposals by the Armenian side to resume the search operations.

A total of 1,697 bodies, including civilians, have been evacuated since November 13, 2020, as a result of searches in the occupied territories of Artsakh and the exchange of bodies with Azerbaijan.

Ever since November 13, 2020, a total of 1,697 remains of Armenians—including of civilians—have been retrieved as a result of search operations and exchange of dead bodies in the currently Azerbaijani-occupied territories of Artsakh.
