Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko and his Turkish counterpart Sedat Onal discussed the launch of the “3+3” regional advisory mechanism.

“In the context of normalization of the relations between Baku and Yerevan, the importance of consistent implementation of the trilateral agreements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia of 9 November 2020 and 11 January 2021 were mentioned, and the modernity of the launch of the “3+3” “(Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia plus Russia, Turkey, Iran)” advisory mechanism in the South Caucasus in the near future was highlighted.

There was substantial exchange of views on the current situation in Central Asia, taking into consideration the latest events in Afghanistan as well. The steady development of the multifaceted cooperation between Russia and Turkey was recorded,” the press release of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reads.
