Armenia first and foremost believes it is possible to resolve the crisis through the Russian Federation and the structures of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, but if Armenia fails to resolve the crisis through the existing mechanisms, it will have to use other mechanisms, that is, it will address other international partners. This is what Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan said during an interview aired on a news program on Armenian Public Television.

“The hostilities ended after November 9, 202, but we can’t claim that there was stability along the length of the border in general. Azerbaijan has always used weapons. The border escalation has continued on a regular basis.

Recently, Azerbaijan wasn’t granted its wish to have, say, a corridor, and it started torpedoing the whole negotiations process, even the negotiations for unblocking of communications. After Russia declared that there won’t be any operation within the logic of corridor, first, Azerbaijan closed the Goris-Kapan motorway and then set up customs points, and then there was escalation on the border. Azerbaijan is trying to completely destabilize the process for peace or stability and create an instable situation in the region,” he said, adding that Azerbaijan is trying to completely obstruct the unblocking process.

“Armenia is fully ready for unblocking, demarcation and delimitation, but Azerbaijan has constantly torpedoed it. Even today, by being present in the sovereign territory of Armenia, it is violating the principle and the opportunity to create an environment through which demarcation and delimitation will be possible,” he said.
