The enemy is accumulating a large number of soldiers and armored vehicles on the border of Geghamasar village. This is what head of Geghamasar village Hakob Avetyan said during a conversation with Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The situation is very tense. Starting from midday, the enemy has been firing gunshots, our side is not passive either, and it is taking defense measures. Currently, we are very alert and are waiting. At this moment, there aren’t a lot of gunshots, it’s calm,” he stated.

According to Avetyan, the civilians aren’t panicking.

“This is somewhat even ordinary for civilians. They’re waiting to respond to any situation quickly. The civilians are always ready to participate in military operations,” Avetyan said.

As reported earlier, the employees of Sotk gold mine have been evacuated, and the operations at the gold mine have been terminated.
