A mother and son have committed suicide in Azerbaijan on the same day, Azerbaijani media reported.

The mother, Rafiga Hasanova, was the first to commit suicide, then her son, Elshan, who found out about his mother's death, and decided to commit suicide himself.

After the funeral of Elshan's mother, a resident of their village laid flowers at her grave, then jumped into the sea and drowned.
