Eight persons injured in the tragic accident on the Yerevan-Gyumri motorway have been discharged from hospital. Ashot Kurghinyan, Deputy Director of "Armenia" Republican Medical Center, told about this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

"Two of the injured had died after being brought to the hospital. The other eight persons have been discharged after receiving the necessary treatment. Their lives are no longer in danger," Kurghinyan said.

On October 20, a passenger van had gone off road on the Yerevan-Gyumri motorway and overturned. As a result, 6 people had died while 17 others were injured and taken to hospitals.

A criminal case has been filed into this road accident.

According to the Investigative Committee of Armenia, road safety rules were not ensured during the road construction work being carried out at the turning section of this road section.
