Moscow believes Ankara will take Russia’s signals seriously. This is what Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova said today, commenting on the opening of a park named after Chechen terrorist Johar Dudayev in Turkey, noting that such actions contradict the spirit of the relations between the two countries.

Zakharova stated that Russia has expressed its position according to which it absolutely doesn’t accept any form, practice and type of glorification of terrorists, militants and extremists and added that this is Moscow’s fundamental position. “Such attempts are inadmissible, and, indeed, they require the most resolute condemnation by the whole international community. Here we need to be united as one. These actions also contradict the spirit of the Russian-Turkish relations and mutually beneficial cooperation,” Zakharova said, adding that Russia believes the Turkish side will seriously understand the inadmissibility of such actions.
