The Competition Protection Commission of Armenia will try to find out the prices of COVID-19 PCR tests at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan. Chairman of the Competition Protection Commission (CPC) of Armenia, Gegham Gevorgyan, told this to a press conference Tuesday, summing up the results of the passing year.

According to the official, the Commission is exploring the policies of the laboratories that have leased spaces in the building of the airport and the administration of the airport.

“We will explore this market, taking into consideration how important it is for passengers, including locals and guests from abroad. Competition is limited in this market since, in many cases, passengers need to get tested for COVID-19 when they depart and when they arrive. The Commission’s objective is to clarify whether the laboratories and the airport’s administration have abused their position,” Gevorgyan clarified.
