The informal summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) held in St. Petersburg on Dec. 28 was very fruitful. This is what President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin said after his meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on Wednesday, RIA Novosti reported.
“In my opinion, yesterday’s meetings were very fruitful. We talked about a number of directions for development of relations with CIS countries,” the Russian president said.
