The opposition "Armenia" Bloc has issued a New Year and Christmas message. It reads as follows, in particular:

"We are seeing off the year 2021. It was a year of continued defeat, heavy losses, painful challenges to the country's sovereignty, deepening internal divisions, and an uncertain prospect for our statehood and each of us.

[But] together we have the opportunity to stop this disgraceful and humiliating course, to straighten the impaired backbone of our statehood, to regain our dignity, and to stop—with a fortified spirit—the destructive chain of defeats.

Our collective struggle has so far been marked by modest achievements, but our commitment to bring our people’s historical aspirations to fruition is unwavering."
