President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has declared January 10 a day of national mourning in Kazakhstan. This was announced on Saturday by Tokayev's spokesman, Berik Uali, TASS reports.
"In connection with the numerous human casualties as a result of tragic events in a number of regions of the country, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has decided to declare January 10, 2022 a national day of mourning. The relevant decree will be published on the Ak Orda [Presidential Palace] website," Uali wrote on Facebook.
