The Telegram channel, which publishes the official information of the departments on the situation in Kazakhstan, has removed the message about 164 people killed during the riots in the country, RIA Novosti reports.

Earlier, Telegram had published a message the Kazakh ministry of health reported the deaths of 164 people during the unrest in the country, noting that the highest number of these casualties—103—were in the former capital, Almaty.

The Kazakh publication Vlast reports that the country's health ministry said it had not provided that information.
