Employees of the Yerevan branch of the National Center for Infectious Diseases of Armenia are protesting in front of the center.

The reason is that on December 30 of last year, 80 employees of this hospital were informed that they will be fired on January 15.

An employee of the center told reporters that a meeting was convened on December 30, and they were asked to submit letters of resignation.

Another employee noted that there had been rumors for a long time that the infectious disease hospital would be closed and renovated, but the employees had been promised that they would be relocated.

These employees added that the hospital administration does not even want to give them severance pay, and that is why these employees were asked to submit letters of resignation.
