The Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, on Monday discussed with the Human Rights Commissioner of Kazakhstan, Elvira Azimova, the rights of the Armenian community of Kazakhstan—and in connection with the events unrolling in Kazakhstan, the Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

During their telephonic conversation today, the Kazakh human rights commissioner noted that issues related to the Armenian community of Kazakhstan continue to be under her direct attention, and she expressed readiness to provide complete assistance in any necessary case.

The ombudsman of Armenia, for his part, extended his condolences to Azimova in connection the casualties of the ongoing events in Kazakhstan.
