The US Department of State welcomed Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s announcement that the forces of the Russian-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) have completed their mission after the end of the unrest in Kazakhstan. This was announced by US State Department spokesperson Ned Price, VOA reported.

President Tokayev said that the withdrawal of CSTO forces from Kazakhstan will begin in two days—and in connection with the stabilization of the situation in the country.

"Until that process is completed and until the CSTO peacekeeping forces are withdrawn, we’ll continue to call upon all collective security treaty organization, collective peacekeeping forces to respect international human rights and to uphold their commitment to promptly depart Kazakhstan, as the Government of Kazakhstan has requested," Ned Price said, speaking at the US State Department press briefing Tuesday.
