During the special session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Council of Ministers of Defense, the defense ministers of the CSTO member states discussed the results of the OSCE peacekeeping operation in Kazakhstan, as well as the improvement of mechanisms for ensuring regional security and rapid response to emerging threats, TASS reports.

As a result of the session, a joint decision of the CSTO Council of Ministers of Defense was signed to organize the return of military contingent of the CSTO member states from Kazakhstan to its permanent deployment points.

To note, Armenia is also a member in the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
