Social network Instagram, owned by Meta, introduces a paid subscription feature. It will allow users to monetize content.

"Subscriptions allow creators to monetize and become closer to their followers through exclusive experiences:
- Subscriber Lives
- Subscriber Stories
- Subscriber Badges

We hope to add more creators to this test in the coming months. More to come,"Adam Mosseri, the head of the social network, tweeted.

In addition, the authors of such content will be able to see the paid subscription icon, which will be located next to the names of subscribers' profiles. This feature is currently being tested in the US. According to Mr. Mosseri, residents of other countries will soon be able to use the function.

Earlier, the head of Instagram announced the company's intention to return the chronological feed in the first quarter of 2022. At the same time, Adam Mosseri did not specify whether the tape will be available by default or it can be turned on.
