American edition of Washington Post published a draft of sanctions against Russian President Vladimir Putin, members of the Russian government and a number of Russian businessmen, including Ruben Vardanyan, a Russian businessman and philanthropist of Armenian origin.

Ruben Vardanian is referred to as "the former director of Troika Dialog and sponsor of the Skolkovo School.

The draft document is called the Putin Accountability Act and was drawn up by Congressman Banks.

The draft of the sanctions mentions items on the blocking of the property of the persons on the sanctions list, the imposition of sanctions in connection with the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline, and the situation around Ukraine.

The document also says that the president should submit to Congress a report on the assets of Russian President Vladimir Putin, his family members, as well as Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva.
