The second session of the Armenian National Assembly (NA) of the eighth convocation continues on Monday in Yerevan.

The matter of electing the new Human Rights Defender (ombudsperson) of Armenia is still on the agenda. The parliamentary faction of the ruling Civil Contract Party has nominated Kristine Grigoryan—the now former Deputy Minister of Justice—for this position.

The MP will continue to discuss her candidacy, as they could not conclude the respective debates last week.
