Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged Ukrainians to remain calm and not to shout " everything is lost ".

His remarks came during a video message published on the Telegram channel, UNIAN reported.

"Everything is under control. There are no reasons for panic," he summed up the results of the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

According to the president, the authorities are working for the full de-escalation of the situation in eastern Ukraine through a peaceful settlement.

 "We know everything. We are ready for everything. We believe in the best. And we do absolutely everything for this together with our partners, diplomats and our military. They are our best, they protect us, and we need to protect them, to be calm and not to shout "everything is lost", "- said Zelensky.

An urgent meeting of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine was held on 24 January.
