Turkish National Security Council spoke about "the significance of improving cooperation mechanisms created in South Caucasus through the constructive and sincere efforts of the parties, especially Armenia and Turkey," TASS reported.

The Security Council also discussed the situation around Ukraine at a meeting chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"Attention was drawn to the fact that the escalation of tension between Russia and Ukraine will not benefit anyone. We urge the sides to reduce tension," said a statement issued after the meeting.
