YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of Armenia writes: The amount being given to non-governmental organizations [(NGOs)] [in Armenia] has been reduced.

Zhoghovurd daily’s sources close to the executive [branch of power in the country] report that the matter was discussed during yesterday's—January 27—sitting of the government, but it was among those not reported. Moreover, the second and third points of the decision were "top secret".

We learned that the government has not reduced the [monetary] assistance being provided to [political] parties, NGOs and trade unions, but only to NGOs—[and] by more than 41 million drams.

The executive [branch of power], however, did not disclose what that money will be used for.
