The American company SpaceX carried out on Wednesday the launch of a Falcon-9 launch vehicle with a satellite for the needs of the National Office of Military Space Intelligence (NUVKR) of the United States. The launch from the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California was broadcast on the company's website.

The launch of the rocket as part of the NROL-87 mission took place at 15:28 US East Coast time. It is expected that approximately eight minutes after launch, the first stage of the launch vehicle will automatically land on the site located at the cosmodrome.

The activities of the NUWCR, which controls the US reconnaissance satellites, are strictly classified. The parameters and description of the reconnaissance satellite are not disclosed.
