Speaking about a union state of Belarus and Russia and the prospects for other post-Soviet countries joining it, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said: "Armenia has no place to go. Do you think anyone needs them? They have already seen [that] ... [Armenian PM] Nikol Vovayevich [Pashinyan] has seen that."

His remarks came during an interview with renowned Russian journalist Vladimir Solovyov.

"Azerbaijan falls out of this cohort, we made a lot of mistakes there. This is a separate discussion. And, of course, Turkey supports Azerbaijan very seriously. Roads, gas, oil go through Turkey...Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, due to their economic necessity, will join too," Lukashenko said.

According to him, "Belarus is already there. I think it was a good lesson for Kazakhstan. If you say the term is fifteen years, I am sure that Ukraine will be there if we do not make mistakes…"
