Yerevan has not yet responded to Turkey's invitation to attend the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said to journalists.

He reminded that invitations to the forum, which will be held in southern Turkey on March 11-13, were sent to Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Armenian National Assembly Vice-Speaker, special envoy Ruben Rubinyan.

"Yerevan has not yet confirmed participation in the forum," the Turkish minister said, adding that no invitation has been sent to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Paashinyan. "Our president is sending them to the leaders," he said.

He added that it was the Armenian side that preferred Vienna as the venue for the second round of talks. "They offered on the phone to hold the second meeting either in Vienna or in Geneva. We consulted with our special representative and, as there had been a failure in Geneva in the past, we chose Vienna․ We want to hold meetings both in Ankara and Yerevan, but the Armenian side has chosen a third country. Nothing, the main thing is that the process is underway" Cavusoglu said.
