YEREVAN. – A regular meeting—chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan—of the governing board of the North-South Road Corridor investment program was held Thursday at the Armenian government.
The matter on the agenda was on starting the tender process for the construction of the Sisian-Kajaran section of this road corridor, Deputy PM Matevosyan's office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
At the meeting, the deputy premier noted that the construction of the Sisian-Kajaran section is one of the priorities of the Armenian government.
The participants of the meeting discussed a number of matters related to the proper implementation of the aforesaid tender process.
The North-South Road Corridor investment program is included in the European Union (EU) Economic and Investment Plan, under which the Armenian government effectively cooperates with EU, European Investment Bank, and EBRD to further fund and implement this program.
