A probable military clash between Russia and Ukraine will not lead to anything good for us, the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan noted during the Thursday's press conference.

According to him, there are such risks, given that troops of 100-150,000 people have accumulated on both sides.

He explained that even in the event of a de-escalation on the border, tensions between Russia and the West will continue, which will manifest itself in other directions.

Kocharyan noted that in this situation, Armenia faces issues over possibilities of conducting a complementary policy.

"Armenia is not taking steps to neutralize the risks that exist today. We are facing a new reality that obliges us to decide on some issues. It will be problematic to stay in the middle," Robert Kocharyan noted.

The second president said that all this requires the skill of Armenian diplomacy.

"But almost all professionals are replaced by people who turn embassies into some kind of simulators in order to learn something. This is unacceptable," he added.
