Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is expected to visit Moscow next week, an informed source told Turan News Agency, the latter reported.

It added that the visit is expected to become a new milestone in the development of Azerbaijani-Russian relations, as well as in the strengthening of regional security.

Aliyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin last communicated by phone on January 18. They exchanged views on Ukraine—and in the context of the Azerbaijani leader’s January 14 visit to Kyiv where he had held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
