The authorities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk Republic have started evacuating civilians to the territory of Russia, the head of DPR, Denis Pushilin said.
As he noted, since Friday, a mass centralized departure of the population to Russia has been organized.
"Women, children, and elderly people are to be evacuated first and foremost," Pushilin added. He cited the shelling of the territory from the Ukrainian side as the reason.
