Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said during phone talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that the Russian ruble could be used in trade, RIA Novosti reported quoting A Haber TV channel.

Putin and Erdogan's phone talks, focusing mainly on Ukrainian issues, took place on Sunday and lasted about an hour.

"Details of Erdogan's talks with Putin yesterday have emerged. President Erdogan said Turkey and Russia could use 'dollar, euro, ruble, gold and yuan in trade', while the Russian leader would, in turn, instruct that 30 ships loaded with sunflower oil and wheat be sent to the Sea of Azov," the TV channel reported.
