Between March 3 and March 5, the Azerbaijani armed forces advanced about a kilometer near Nerkin Hand village of Kapan city of Armenia’s Syunik Province, and set up tents. Nerkin Hand prefect Khachatur Baghdasaryan told about this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

"They came down from the border, sat in our territory. The Ministry of Defense is aware; they have come, set up a [military] post. The village cemetery is monitored from the [aforesaid] position of the Azerbaijani side, the sources of drinking water are also monitored, the pastures of our village are located in that area, [but] the residents are afraid to do agricultural work there," Baghdasaryan said.

He added that Kapan mayor Gevorg Parsyan is aware of this problem since day one, and he visits their village on a regular basis.
