YEREVAN. - August 2 rally of oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC) will gather many people regardless of weather conditions and the holiday season, said ANC member Felix Khachatryan to a press conference on Thursday.

“There is a certain intrigue here. People are eager to know about the details of the ongoing dialogue,” said Khachatryan.

Asked about the widespread public opinion that the authorities agreed to dialogue with ANC for the sake of scattering dissatisfied masses, Khachatryan replied that there could be a room for such opinion.

“So far, we held only two meetings in authorities-ANC format and I wouldn’t say they pursued that particular goal. The opposite party carefully listened to our demands, accepted our dialogue agenda with a highlight on snap elections point. They also agreed to discuss all the issues put forward by us,” he added.
