Many do not have a good idea of what Parukh village and Karaglukh mountain range of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) are territorially and strategically. Tigran Abrahamyan, an MP from the opposition "With Honor" Faction in the National Assembly of Armenia and a security expert, wrote about this on Facebook Wednesday morning. He added as follows:

"During this recent advance, Azerbaijan has occupied many times more territory in the Karaglukh area than Parukh village is—with its administrative territory.

(…) strategically, various sectors of the Karaglukh mountain range pose a threat many times greater than Parukh itself.

The Azerbaijanis have used Parukh as a crossing zone, and immediately after the invasion they have built bypass roads the purpose of which is to reach various sectors of Karaglukh, position, fortify themselves, ensure uninterrupted supplies, and then create new problems for the viability of Artsakh.

If Azerbaijan digested this and its troops do not return to the initial points, an unprecedented situation will be created to break the backbone of the part of Artsakh that is under our control at the moment."
