Western attempts to exclude Russia from the OSCE Minsk Group are irresponsible, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

His remarks came at a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

"As for the activities or the future, I would even say, of the three co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, I don't know what the future will be," Lavrov said. According to him, "French and American partners in this group have a desire to cancel anything and everything that concerns Russia"

"It is their right if they are ready to sacrifice the interests of the settlement in Karabakh and in the whole South Caucasus if they are ready to sacrifice the interests in this case of the Armenian side - that is their choice. They not only make this particular conflict one of their priorities, but all other conflicts and crises in the world as hostages of their Russophobic policy," the minister added.

Lavrov noted that these countries are forcing everyone and everything to stop interacting in any format just to prove their ability to "dictate their unilateral will to everyone and everything." I think this approach is absolutely irresponsible, it won't knock us out. This choice is not ours. If the US and France decide to act this way, then God is their judge, as they say," the minister added. He said that Moscow is committed to facilitating the settlement of the Karabakh situation and the implementation of those agreements that were in the trilateral format between the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
