At the beginning of his meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that they will discuss security issues in Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) and the situation there.

"Of course, our focus will be on security issues, including those related to Karabakh. There are many problems, I agree with you. We are constantly in touch, talking on the phone every week or every 10 days. And the meetings are regular—despite the pandemic. I am very happy to see you," Putin said addressing Pashinyan.

He added that the Armenian PM’s current visit to Moscow is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Armenia.

"It is planned to sign a number of documents—on a fairly solid basis. In the previous years, we have signed 200 documents based on our legal relations, and this creates a good opportunity to work in virtually all directions.

One of the leaders, of course, is the economy. According to statistics, our growth in 2021 was 12.8 percent; and in the first months of this year—plus another 50 percent. This is a very good indicator, especially in our times," the Russian president said.
