At least 11 newborns died on Wednesday in a fire at a hospital in the Senegalese city of Tivaouan, said President of Senegal Macky Sall.
The head of state expressed condolences to the families of the dead children.
Agence France-Presse, citing the mayor of the city, informed that three children were saved. The cause of the fire was a short circuit, the mayor said.
