By the end of 2023, a satellite control center and a receiving station will be established in Armenia, said Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan at a government meeting on Thursday.

“Photos taken from the satellite will be used for border control, emergency management, climate change monitoring and other areas,” he said.

Pashinyan also said that from September 5 to 10 of this year, the Starmus festival will be held in Armenia, in which cosmonauts from all over the world, Nobel Prize winners, and cultural figures will take part.

Armenia's priority, he said, is the localization of space technologies in the country and the organization of the production of space devices.
