The Supreme Economic Council of the Eurasian Economic Council (EAEU) has decided to start talks with Indonesia on concluding a free trade agreement.

"The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council has decided to start negotiations with the Republic of Indonesia on the conclusion of a free trade agreement," the EAEU report says.

The meeting of the Council was held on Friday online. It was attended by the leaders of all five member countries of the union - Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and Armenia, as well as the heads of two observer states: Uzbekistan and Cuba.
