Two years have passed since the premiere of the Chevrolet Corvette C8, which was the first mid-engine supercar in the model's history. The factory flagship version at the moment is a 670-horsepower version of the Corvette Z06, and the work of tuning studios, which are usually eager to refine all-new sports cars, complicates the decision of General Motors to protect the car's engine control unit from outside interference to prevent chip tuning, Motor reported.

American tuning studio FuelTech specializes in engine tuning and the company has chosen the Corvette C8 as the latest car on which to try out new technologies. Equipped with a 6.2-liter atmospheric V8 LT2 rated at 502 horsepower, the supercar managed to make almost three times more powerful.

Anderson Dick promised that his company will not stop there - FuelTech Corvette C8 will be further developed to unlock the full potential of the engine. And to set a new record for the Chevrolet Corvette C8 quarter mile - so far only FuelTech managed to build a supercar of this model, which covers 402 meters faster than 9 seconds.
