Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian discussed negotiations over the Iranian nuclear deal and Ukraine during a telephone contact, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

The telephone conversation took place at the initiative of the Iranian side.

The main attention was paid to the situation around the negotiations on the resumption of the full implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian nuclear program, including in the context of the session of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency that opens on June 6, 2022, the message says.

The parties also exchanged views on key issues of bilateral relations and a number of topical regional and international issues, including the situation in Ukraine.
