YEREVAN. – Minister of High-Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan received a delegation led by Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin, the Ministry of High-Tech Industry informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Khachatryan stressed the constructive cooperation between the Russian embassy in Armenia and his ministry, the importance of programs of mutual interest, and expressed readiness to implement them consistently.

Ambassador Kopirkin, in turn, noted that high-tech industry is of special importance in terms of the development of Armenian-Russian relations and the strengthening of cooperation.

The minister presented to the envoy the course and programs of cooperation with the Russian side in additive technologies.

Robert Khachatryan and Sergey Kopirkin touched also upon matters related to the participation of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia in the international economic forum to be held in St. Petersburg, Russia, in June.

Minister Khachatryan noted that recently Russian IT companies have shown great interest in working in Armenia, and said this can be a stimulus for intensifying competition in the respective local market of Armenia.

Khachatryan and Kopirkin reflected also on the importance of developing space services. In this connection, the minister briefed the Russian envoy on a number of details related to the first space satellite of Armenia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed also matters of mutual interest aimed at expanding cooperation and developing sectoral cooperation.
