STEPANAKERT. – Speaker Artur Tovmasyan of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) National Assembly (NA) on Monday met in Paris with the permanent representative of Artsakh in France, Hovhannes Gevorgyan, and the staff of the representation.

During the meeting, they reflected on the assistance provided to Artsakh by French politicians and local government bodies during the 44-day war in 2020, and the need to make this assistance continuous, the Artsakh NA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The NA speaker stressed, in particular, the importance of the adoption of the resolutions on the recognition of Artsakh by the French Senate and the National Assembly immediately after the war.

Tovmasyan’s meetings in France will continue with the representatives of the French political circles and the French Armenian community.

Recently, the speaker of the Artsakh National Assembly had visited Lebanon and Cyprus.
