Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte has been infected with coronavirus, Kurier reported.

It is noted that a visit of the head of the Lithuanian government to the United States, which was to be held this week, was postponed because of COVID-19. However, the Prime Minister continues to work remotely. Details about the infection are not reported, but recently Simonyte met with Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen and President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola.

It is known that the Lithuanian prime minister was vaccinated with three doses of AstraZeneca and Pfizer coronavirus vaccines. She received her last vaccination in mid-November 2021.
