VTB Bank except for one single case does not sell its subsidiary banks anywhere, VTB Chairman Andrey Kostin told in an interview with Interfax.

"We are not selling subsidiary banks anywhere, with the exception of a single case. We have a principled position - we are staying put everywhere. We are only leaving Georgia, but the situation there is different. But we remain in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China and India and are promoting cooperation with national banks and local banks in order to become the key bank for settlements in bilateral trade in national currencies," he said.

The head of VTB also answered the question about the work of banks in the conditions of SWIFT disconnection.

"When you are disconnected from settlements in currencies, SWIFT is not really needed. We have our own system of financial payments inside Russia, we also promote this system with our friendly countries now, plus we have branches that allow us to make direct payments," he said.
