ANKARA. – Turkey increased purchase of gas from Azerbaijan and Russia. It is resulted by the explosion that occurred in Turkish part of the Iranian gas pipeline, Trend agency reports quoting Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey.

The ministry did not define the exact increased amount of the purchase.

The explosion took place in the eastern part of Turkey in Agri province. Gas reaches Turkey from Azerbaijan through South Caucasus gas pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum).
