Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo proposed to introduce a ceiling on gas prices in the European Union, Croo said this on his arrival to the EU summit.
In addition, Croo proposed to begin coordinating purchases between the EU countries. The prime minister voiced this idea in light of the fact that the winter could be hard.
"Next winter is going to be difficult. We must show solidarity. Belgium is proposing a ceiling on gas prices in the EU, and we are also proposing a bloc of countries to coordinate our purchases in order to reduce prices," the premier said.
