The price of copper on Monday is rising by 1% or more, as investors expect an increase in demand for it from the largest importer - China, according to trading data.

September futures for copper on the Comex stock exchange rises in price by 1.02%, to $3.7828 per pound.

At the London Metal Exchange (LME), following the results of previous trading, the cost of a ton of copper with delivery in three months decreased by 0.33%, to $8,381, aluminum - by 0.87%, to $2,456, zinc - by 4.05%, up to $3,350.
