The imposition of sanctions on Russia will cause more harm to the Turkish economy than the Russian one, said the representative of the Turkish President Ibrahim Kalin.

Ankara defends its interests, therefore, did not join the restrictions that many countries imposed on Russia after its attack on Ukraine. According to Kalin, the West understood this position.

Ankara's spokesman stressed that Turkey is dependent on foreign energy sources and therefore is developing relations with Russia in the same way as with Iran.
