Another case of high treason has been exposed in Armenia.

YEREVAN. – It was found out that an Armenian citizen, being a serviceman, possessed information about his military unit, which is a training center, as well as the location of some units of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, the National Security Service (NSS) informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

After getting acquainted with a representative of the foreign special services through social media, he was recruited by him, after which he passed to this person information and photos about his military unit—and in exchange for the promise of receiving 2,000,000 drams (approx. US$4,770).

This Armenian citizen was detained, and he confessed along the lines of criminal case opened at the NSS Investigation Department—and on charges of high treason.

Subsequently, he was included in this criminal case as a defendant and has been remanded in custody.
